President's Report (Alistair): ¶

• muffled, as if from beneath a pile of paperwork
• You've been doing a lot of EMPs lately, why stop there?
• Uncharity is progressing well
• Has anyone not been in a fugue state for the last fortnight?

Vice-President's Report (Taylor): ¶

• I broke my toe then Emerald tried to cut it off with a LARP sword

• Did a bunch of tenancy application planning
• i got stickbugged lol

Treasurer's Report (Jackie): ¶

• merry new year everyone Happy 2021, or as I like to call it: oh I’m free from daily cherish???
• accidentally butt dialled the whole of committee, minutes after being hunted down by alistair in the city
• missing a week in committee meeting actually made me a little sad, I missed seeing committee lol
• OUR SEM GRANT HAS ARRIVED!!!
• in total we received $5,906.03 (this includes the $920.35 2019 sem 2 grant correction)
• i found a copy of glee the board game (with CD) under my bed
• account balance: $8,911.97

• i went to the scifi board games, which was amazing. I broke my car, which is bad, and i've almost finished the fresher guide, which is jawdropping. so, all in all, net positive. excited to have money this year.

O-DAY [Friday 19/2/21]: ¶

• Fresher guides
  • Alice is working on it!!
  • Alice requires committee members to send one-sentence bios and fav game in the library
  • Committee gives Alice constructive criticism (remove the egg)
  • Consideration that if we want to increase the number of pages, it will need to be to the next multiple of 4
  • Ensuring that our contact information is on the outside, back cover of the guide
  • Considerable re-engineering of the bingo. It goes on the inside back cover
  • We should list the sister clubs instead of paragraphing them up
  • We have spent several years updating and refining this guide and hopefully it's getting closer and closer to optimal
  • The guide could benefit from a map marking the location of Cam Hall on UWA

Taylor: Talk to gozz about readying the logo for a fresh lick of paint

• Signup forms

  • Donald's e-signup form is in progress, no major updates
  • Question of whether we want to require an email address from nonstudents
    • On the grounds of: student email accounts expire eventually
    • We can simply ask people to tell us their new email when their email changes
    • The soft fix is to make people write their email out in full on the signup
  • We will be producing a signup form regardless of whether we use electronic signups

Pending: - $850.15 to Jackie + $923.91 for camp refunds = $1774.06 - $200 to Tylor for camp tickets - $181.50 to Guild Finance for oday bookings

Guild: ¶

• Tenancy Reallocations
  • Tenancy application is due on Sunday
  • This is priority number 1
  • We need to make a final decision about how we want to structure this application, and our room preferences
  • Almost all of committee is currently leaning towards 184b
  • Only Alistair has deep seated hesitations which we are trying to identify. Alistair has by far the most responsibility weighing on his shoulders in case this decision is a stinker.
  • The last standing issues from our previous meeting were vibes, noise and frontage
  • Taylor predicts it is less likely that we could get 184b than to stay put
  • Despite all of committee agreeing, we must still ensure we take the time and thought to best represent the members
  • Further practicalities/expenses to worry about: lockbox, aircon, soundproofing, moving furniture around
  • We should find out the initial decision before uncharity, so that can inform our fundraising goals
  • Application writing plan
    • Taylor proposes we structure our application about a list of priorities for the club
    • First of all is a sole occupancy. Then size of the room, then proximity to other clubs, and then location of building.
    • Based on this list we will preference: 184b, then our current room, then a room of comparable size within Cameron Hall
    • We will communicate that we are very happy with our current room, but we are reaching capacity and would greatly benefit from a larger room
  • Goal for committee to approve a final draft on Saturday
  • Application will also include request for our two cupboards, ONLY in the instance that we stay put in our current room

  • We received $5906.03, we are waiting for the breakdown.
  • This should include corrections from 2019 plus both 2020 semesters
  • This big income should be sat on until we know what's hapepning with the room

• Should be happening this month
• What is Unigames thinking abt the upcoming year?
  • The charity/quiz swap worked well
  • We need to crack the whip a bit more about quiz night
  • Halloween party?? Panto had their own event last year, and apparently their venue didn't charge hire.
  • Taylor advocates reaching out to try Halloween again this year
  • An external venue really makes a lot of things easier, finance and safety wise
